We have one male puppy remaining.

to go to their new homes now.

Obviously we are deep in conversation!  The puppy on the left is the only

pup in this litter with a light undercoat like Mick. All the rest are red-on-red like

And she's managed to bring in one bird... and a baby rabbit.

What a crazy, fun week this has been!

Three of the pups have found homes.  Two of them have gone off to be hunting dogs, and you couldn't find a better line to pick a hunting partner from. Mick's hunting heritage is amazing, a long list 

of Master Hunters, Senior Hunters, American Field Champions and Canadian Field Champions. 

Awesome lines.

This is our last puppy from Maddie's litter:

He's gorgeous. He's got Mick's coloring, red over blonde and he's inquisitive. Always hunting, listening, checking things out. We call him "Cappy".  He looks very much like "Champ"

but a touch darker.

He isn't afraid to steal the cat food, wrestle with the kitten, or cuddle in my lap.

and already likes to walk alongside me, just like his daddy

This little guy isn't black, he's sable.
Brown hair is coming through, giving him a distinctive look.

He's a good-sized puppy with bits of white and looks like his
brown coloring will hold true.

 This is Kathryn with "Lupita". We think it sounds

like "little wolf". So if you use your imagination

(and you're a tween girl who loves fantasy stories)

then a black, curly "little wolf" works. Right?

 This is Allison and Brooke with "Little Bit".

She's the smallest female, all black and just a sweetheart.

But she stands her ground as needed with her burly brothers.

That's my kind of girl!

 This is Casey with Sleepy Poppy. This puppy makes "laid back" seem like a busy phrase.

Sweet. Easy going. Loves to cuddle. Great at ignoring the antics of the others.

 Cole is snuggling Tiny Storm. I'm not sure where the name came from. It doesn't matter. It's a GREAT NAME and he's stickin' to it.

And last but not least is "Charlie". My friend Kyle claimed naming rights to the first-born male.

Maybe there's some royal blood there?
