Got my coffee.... And three puppies so far! We started delivering at 12:22 AM, and we've just delivered #3!!!
YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!
Sadie is being her typical wonderful Mom-self and taking great care of each new arrival. Puppy #1 (a girl) is in a cozy box by the wood stove to stay warm while Mom takes care of #2 (male) and #3 (?????) I won't check #3 and do a weigh in until Mom's had a few more minutes with him/her.

No Puppies Yet!!!!!
But we can see them moving inside.... And Mama is acting like she's ready. Hunting for a spot... Digging holes because her instinct tells her she needs to make a "den"....
My instinct says I don't want to fish puppies out from beneath the shed, so I've limited her digging opportunities!
Silly dog.
Here's a pic of the birthing center, ready for the moment:
And here's a picture of Sadie.... And Maple, our house calico who gave birth to six tiny kittens In The Kitchen.... Yes, she likes to be around people, she's a social cat.... three days ago. She and Sadie were due within a few days of each other, so things are happening here!
And here's a pic of Maple with her babies... In the laundry basket, in the kitchen. I'm glad my animals love me!
Aren't they adorable???? All are doing well. And they're waiting for puppies to play with!
I'll post again once the happy occasion has occurred. We're praying for a safe and sound delivery for all concerned.
At this point we have five people on the "Interest List" for Sadie's litter, and we're grateful for the continued interest in our little endeavor! God bless you all.

2012 Update!
Oh my stars, what a fun fall and holiday season we enjoyed. New babies, new books, new projects!
Golden Retriever update:
We've just mated Sadie back to Mick.
We're only doing spring/summer litters now (because winter litters gave me agita!!!). If the mating was successful, puppies should be born in mid-March and ready for homes by the end of April or beginning of May.
Doodle update:
Libby has also been bred back to Mick. She and Sadie went into heat within a week of each other, so it's been an interesting few weeks around here! If this was a successful mating, then we will be looking at Goldendoodle pups around mid-March, with the puppies ready for homes at the beginning of May.
Breeding is an inexact science, but we've had such a good time getting to know all kinds of people.
Thank you so much to the puppy owners who've sent us Christmas cards and updates on your puppies! We love hearing from you!
